Race PM 2026

13 June 2026 · Ursviken ski lodge & illuminated trail, Bergsviken, Piteå

Time and place

13 June

07.30–08.30 — Bib pickup

08.30 — Race and rules briefing

09.00 — First start

Place: Ursviken ski lodge and illuminated trail, Bergsviken, Piteå. (Svensbyvägen 28 for map searches.)

Parking

The first lot is below Tolvmansskolan, by the entrance from Svensbyvägen. The larger one is above the school and closer to the race area. Follow the signs and the marshals' directions.

Park smart so everyone fits — or take a bike or the bus if that works for you.

Bib pickup and NBU shirts

Bibs are handed out near the race office — you'll see the table when you arrive!

For those who have taken over a starting spot: you'll receive the shirt ordered by the original entrant. If it doesn't fit, you're welcome to swap with other runners — we won't have time to handle this during bib pickup.

About the arena

Set-up area for participants — only within the designated area (we'll mark it). Ursberget has a large grass field with room for your own tent (a 3×3 m "party tent" works well), a chair and anything else you want to bring, including a tent for overnight stays. If you need a larger shared tent or a caravan, contact the race management.

The race area — this is where the start, lap turnaround and finish take place. All catering is by the start corral.

Changing rooms, toilets and shower — two small changing rooms (one shower) and 2–3 toilets at the race area. To keep toilet visits smooth, we'd appreciate it if male participants in particular pee "in the woods" after the course or at a designated outdoor spot in the finish area, to avoid stress between laps. Unfortunately we cannot offer surveillance or storage of personal belongings.

Aid and energy station

All fluids and energy are available at the race area: sports drink from UMARA, water, coffee and other drinks, sandwiches, pickled gherkins, crisps, sweets, fruit and more.

The selection isn't set in stone — we adjust and vary it throughout the race, but the offering should stay fairly extensive the whole time. Somewhat more substantial food is served at fixed times (announced before the start).

Runners are not allowed to receive personal assistance along the course.

Charging

There are a few power outlets for charging phones, watches etc. with a plug. Given the access and your time in the start corral, we recommend bringing your own solutions if you plan to stay in the race for a long time.

The course

The course is 6.7 km long, about 65 metres of elevation gain, with partly technically demanding terrain: mostly forest trails, exercise paths and gravel road, plus about 500 m of asphalt. Marked with both black-and-yellow signs and red-and-white streamers as well as barrier tape.

For supporters and spectators

Supporters and spectators are warmly welcome. There's the most activity and racing during the first 6–7 hours (after 7 laps you're an ultrarunner — that can be a sub-goal). After 10–12 laps the field thins out, but it's no less interesting to follow.

Participants appreciate cheering — give it to them both in the finish area and along the course if you head out. You may help participants in the finish area but not along the course. There are barbecue spots with firewood nearby. Show consideration for runners, marshals and barriers.

Lodging

We don't arrange any lodging beyond what you organise yourself with a tent, caravan etc. There are plenty of hotels and campsites for runners and family members — Hemlunda Camping is right along the course.

Finishing the race

Your race ends when:

• you don't complete the course within the hour and miss the next start,

• you're not in the start corral when the start goes off, or

• you choose to stop yourself.

When you finish, you report it to the race office after the remaining runners have headed out on the next lap (i.e. after a full hour) — this makes our work easier and gives you time to think the decision through. In the finish area you'll receive a medal, a light beer and a hot dog. Feel free to stick around and follow the race.

Personal records

We hope the course, the atmosphere and the support help you reach your goals — perhaps a new personal record, in distance or number of laps. Ring the PR bell and hear the crowd cheer!

Results

Live results are published on our website, where you can follow both individual performances and the team competition.

Prizes

A performance prize is awarded to the winner — an "Oh My Finisher" with a victory bonus made possible by Oh My. The winner won't be disappointed. We hope to be able to award prizes to the best runners after the winner too, but it has to stay flexible since several may finish at the same time.

Team prizes are awarded to the teams with the most laps in total. The prize ceremony takes place once the last runner has finished — that could be Saturday evening, the middle of the night or Sunday morning.

Photography

Photography takes place during the event. When registering, participants accepted that images may be used by us on social media as well as in information and marketing for the race — always in a positive and respectful way. Contact the organiser with any questions.

Lottery

More info to come. A possible lottery is held when the runners come in after 7 laps. The draw is on bib numbers — the winner needs to be present.
